Three Health Reasons to go Fishing

At our February 12th meeting, Graham Gridland of West Sussex and Surrey Angling Academy, Community Fishing Teaching Centre of Excellence, gave an insight into the benefits that fishing has for health.

Three quick reasons are:

The exercise that happens, such as casting and reeling in.

The way the brain benefits and recharges due to the peace in the countryside, the fresh air, the extra oxygen, the concentration and then the relaxing.

Flexibility, it may be by a river, a lake or the sea.  Each place brings its own magic.

The West Sussex and Surrey Angling Academy help people of all ages with varying disabilities and its worth contacting them for more details.
